A Natural Hair Festival

SOulFully Textured, A Natural Hair Festival will take place on Martha’s Vineyard on Saturday, August 12, 2023. This family-friendly Festival celebrates and illuminates the unique experiences of people of color who embrace their natural textured hair and is designed to promote a healthy and positive relationship with one's natural hair.   The event will include hair product demonstrations and techniques and will also showcase and embrace the beauty of natural hair, and harness the energy of the natural hair movement.  Our attendees desire presenter topics that are meaningful and designed to empower them in all aspects of their lives in order for them to live their best lives. They are coming to experience the newest trends in healthy hair care, beauty, and fashion; learn tips on healthy living, creating generational wealth, and embracing self; participate in discussions on the rich culture and heritage in Afro-textured hair; and to observe artistic expression that promotes the beauty of people of color with natural hair.

GUIDELINES FOR SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION

The application to be a presenter is contained in a brief form below and must contain a brief description of your presentation (to be used in the event guide), title of your presentation, goal of presentation, names of other presenters (if any), length of presentation and intended audience. 

​

Once your application is submitted it will be reviewed.  We may follow up with you to explore the presentation idea further before making a final determination on your application.
